Our Harriott at Armstrong Creek community has been named a finalist in the prestigious Property Council of Australia’s Innovation Awards, in the Development Innovation category.
The awards recognise Harriott’s forward-thinking master plan, which has been developed in close consultation with the City of Greater Geelong and consultants since 2018 to deliver an improved outcome for the community and broader region.
Harriott’s master plan embraces its regional city and coastal location, appealing to homeowners seeking a lifestyle change.
Its design has delivered increased green spaces, provided direct access to nearby amenities and recreational areas via cycling and walking paths, and improved road efficiency, while increasing its developable area to deliver further housing in this highly sought-after area.
Harriott has been extremely popular, with research showing higher than average resident satisfaction, and strong buyer demand driven by its considered design, high-quality streetscapes, open spaces, and desirable location.
The community has already been recognised as an example of best practice master plan design in the seventh edition of renowned textbook Property Development by Dr Richard Reed, making it a case study for future cutting-edge projects.
The Development Innovation category of the Property Council awards recognises projects that create significant advancement and improvement within a development, with broad benefits to both the community and industry. The winner will be announced in August 2023.
