What is the process to purchase a lot?
It’s a good idea to arrange your finance pre-approval to establish your budget before you start your home selection research. We will then assist you to select an available lot that meets your needs and you will pay a $1000 holding deposit. To formalise the sale, a 5% deposit of the total purchase price of the land is paid and we sign the contract documentation. You’ll then need to engage a settlement agent or solicitor who will handle the paperwork and clarify any special terms and conditions. They will also manage everything once your block has been constructed and it is time to ‘settle’ on your block by paying the balance and taking ownership.
Is landscaping included in the price?
A free landscaping package is available on all Stage 1 and Stage 2 lots at Harriott Armstrong Creek.
What is an easement?
An easement is a section of land registered on your property title, which gives someone (usually a servicing authority) the right to use the land for a specific purpose even though they are not the land owner. This often includes sewer and/or storm water pipes. Easements are very common and appear in around 50% of blocks across an estate.
Is there a body corporate?
There is no body corporate for any land currently planned at Harriott.
